Glasgow NE

Another heavy duty day on planet BNP starting off with Nick and Richard's visit to Glasgow North East. John Walker and I were left with the task of whipping up a press pack in just forty minutes, but we managed it with journalists flooding in to capture and report on the event.

The Guardian has just released this straight report (complete with good photo) which it uses to update Alan Johnson's self-contradictory nonsense about the need for a debate on immigration. Not that he is prepared to do it of course as once again he refuses a debate with the BNP in his original piece for the Independent this morning.

Word is that Alistair Darling was furious about being eclipsed by Nick today, he's the Chancellor by the way. Whilst in the constituency he was asked about the BNP and, as the Guardian reports, spat this back:

"People should be under no illusion as to how unpleasant and nasty the BNP is. I think their policies are deeply unpleasant and I hope people will reject them."

Myself, I've been down to Milton Keynes to set the ball rolling on another media product this afternoon. Gratitude must be expressed to whoever recommended the excellent "co-pilot" SatNav app for my iPhone. A very nice little gadget indeed, although I have yet to work this software to its full potential.

Sky News filmed Nick this morning and he was also interviewed by The Times so keep your eyes open for anything that might be of interest. The Herald were also on the scene and the Scotsman informed me of a possible serious blunder by the Royal Mail concerning an insignificant, communist outfit.
